Various industry veterans and experts came together to witness BW Businessworld’s Young Entrepreneur Summit and Awards 2018 that was conducted in New Delhi where some extremely crucial as well as pressing issues and challenges were discussed amongst the panelists, present in the industry.
One of the sessions at this day-long conference talked about the entrepreneurs’ decision to start their own business and that moment that pushed them to do so. This panel saw Vidhya Shankar, Executive Director, Grant Thornton India LLP acting as the moderator.
Shailesh Gupta, CEO and Co-Founder, Innov8 began the discussion by saying that, “entrepreneurship is an attitude, one has to take ownership of their actions and see it through”. “There is no single bullet in the business of startups”, is what Gupta answered when the moderator questioned him about the challenges in this journey.
Chirag Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO, Deyorcamp talked about his venture and his decision to commercialize the space of adventure trips and camps. “2018 is the year for the market of Indian adventure.”
Sadiya Naseem, Founder, Glamstudios.in talked about how “franchise and aggregate is the way to go in the world of startups.” Talking about the challenges that she faced during this journey of hers was to convince her husband to give up his own career to take care of their daughter while Sadiya herself got ‘Glamstudios’ started on its way with her two partners.
Another panelist for this session, Vivek Tiwari, CEO, Medikabazaar, pointed out that, starting out on his own was “not about name and fame but about purpose.” Initially starting out in the corporate world, his focus shifted towards becoming an entrepreneur due to his parents’ medical conditions.
