PM Narendra Modi’s job mantras for youth; all you need to know in brief

PM Narendra Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed students at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Monday to mark the 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago address at the World’s Parliament of Religion in 1893. PM detailed his thoughts on how the youth of the country should engage themselves in the cause of nation building thereby ensuring the welfare of the entire population. Most of all PM emphasised the role of creativity in the youth and provided his own job mantras that can bring a positive impact. Here they are:

1) He encouraged the youth of the country and said that they should become ‘Job-creators’ instead of becoming ‘Job-seekers’.

2) While speaking to students PM highlighted the importance of skill development. Explaining what he meant, PM threw some light through the example of Vivekananda and how he separated skill and knowledge. PM Modi said, ” Education is not the amount of information, put into one’s brain, which may be there undigested all one’s life. It is, rather a life-building assimilation of ideas.” PM quoted the famous lines of Vivekananda while addressing the students at the event and said, “If you have assimilated five ideas and made them, as your character, you have more education than any man who has got by heart the whole library. If education were identical with information, the libraries would be the greatest sages in the world and encyclopaedias, the greatest Rishis.”

3) PM also emphasised on the power of “Yuva Shakti’ (youth power) and said that he saw a vital place for youngsters in the realm of nation-building.

4) Not just for self, PM said the youth of the country should do much more to ensure the country in its entirety benefits. He said, “We are not robots. We should promote creativity and do things and celebrate days to unite the country and promote celebration and respect of diversity.”
